After 25 years moving between AmLaw 200 firms, Fortune 250 in-house roles, and board leadership in the nonprofit sector, Robyn Davis, Esq. kept watching the same problem play out: businesses and nonprofits that needed quality legal counsel most often couldn’t access it. Hourly billing made every call a calculation. Retainer minimums shut out smaller organizations. And the legal questions kept coming anyway — quietly going unanswered, or answered badly, or postponed until they stopped being questions and became problems.
